On the tailor’s table, fabric is marked and cut for making a suit. The table is a surface for delicate work exposing the various stages in the making of a piece of clothing; rigorous measurements and chalk markings trace forms yet to materialise. The table is the central object in a sound universe that witnesses how fabric goes from cutting and sewing to fitting in the midst of dialogue between tailor and client. Sound captured around this table marks the manual work rhythm of scissors, rulers and sewing machines, in an environment shaped by the solitary relationship between the tailor and his work materials which connect touching with listening.
