Since its beginning, OSSO has developed programming projects that foster contexts of sharing and discussion around the themes and interests of the collective. These projects have also been carried out in collaboration with local, national, and international partners, always with a primary focus on practices rooted in collectivity, community, and transdisciplinarity.

OSSO’s programming projects seek to create moments and spaces of encounter between artists and audiences, engaging actively with specific communities through workshops, film screenings, concerts, performances, exhibitions, readings, and any form of reflective dialogue that involves not only a creative community but also a critical one.

Since 2018, in connection with its Artistic Residency Programme in the village of São Gregório / Caldas da Rainha, OSSO has promoted three main axes of local cultural programming: DIAS ABERTOS (where resident artists are invited to open the doors of their studio for informal gatherings and discussions around their projects); EIRA (a radio platform that expands the scope of residency projects and, during the pandemic, enabled us to maintain a space of dialogue with the local community as well as distant listeners); and the NA RUA programme (designed to bring the local community into direct contact, in public spaces, with unique artistic projects that reflect each artist’s encounter with São Gregório and its surrounding territory).

In 2019, the collective also launched INVASOR ABSTRACTO (www.invasor-abstracto.pt), a nomadic programming project conceived as an imaginary territory of collective creation, where each iteration imagines a new journey between São Gregório and the hosting location.
