Concert-Installation for: CELLO, ELECTRONICS, LIGHT AND RESONANT STRUCTURE.

Event: PERFORMANCE DAY 2017 // Un événement du 40e anniversaire du Centre Pompidou, en collaboration avec le Centre Photographique d’Île-de-France, le frac île-de-france et Serralves – Museu de Arte Contemporânea (Porto)
The concert was structured in three parts corresponding to different stage light designs while the cello improvisation developed in sections:
– section 1 : manipulated cello (fragmentation)
– section 2 : manipulated cello plus automated sound diffusion (initial dispersion)
– section 3 : automated diffusion (dispersion)
Stage 1: OUTSIDE (0´to 20´)
Stage 2: INSIDE (20´to 29´)
Stage 3: DIVE // 29´to 37´30´´
Stage 4: SOUND INSTALLATION
The performance gradually transformed itself into a sound and light installation that reorganized the room and “opened” the stage to the audience movement/drift. The grid was also lighted from within and the scenography was now transformed into an “installation” space where people could move around and stay as long as they want.
