WORKSHOP ⟡ TEAR IT! ⟡ SARA MEALHA

The final thematic workshop of 2025, led by Sara Mealha, invited children to step outside their comfort zones and rethink drawing from new perspectives. Moving between unfamiliar graphic languages and spaces open to imagination, participants discovered alternative ways of creating.

In this experience, observational drawing and the concepts of form and volume were explored using only colored paper, hands, and glue. Folding, tearing, piercing, gluing, and assembling became creative gestures, giving rise to compositions and small sculptural forms—without the use of conventional materials such as pencils, brushes, or paint.

The results were striking: delicate and vibrant works that will remain in the participants’ memories, offering them new tools to observe and interpret the foundations of drawing in all its formal and three-dimensional richness.
