What cannot be seen, What cannot be heard 

Workshop by Alfredo Costa Monteiro, with children aged 6 to 12, in collaboration with the São Gregório Primary School and open to the general public.

The first themed workshop of the 2025 activity cycle offered an original exploration of the audiovisual world, where light and sound intertwine. Using everyday objects, contact microphones, and simple flashlights, children were invited to uncover an entirely new universe of forms and sounds.

They learned to create evocative shadows through perspective, depth, and proximity, while transforming the same objects with contact microphones, springs, and small motors to produce sounds in completely unexpected ways.
