Improvised Music Games

Workshop by Gonçalo Almeida and Bart van Dongen, with children aged 6 to 12, in collaboration with the São Gregório Primary School and open to the general public.

This workshop offers a playful and innovative approach to creating music in the moment through improvisation techniques.

Children will be guided through sound-based games directed by gestures and symbol cards, following simple and intuitive rules that encourage spontaneous interaction with sound and space.

The use of these symbol cards adds an extra layer of fun and excitement, enabling participants to express themselves musically in a dynamic and interactive way.

Bringing together music, gesture, and sound symbols, the workshop offers an engaging experience that goes beyond traditional musical boundaries, fostering communication and collective interaction.
