Experimental Cinema Workshop

Workshop by António Caramelo with children aged 6 to 12.

On November 15 and 16, the Experimental Cinema Workshop took place under the guidance of António Caramelo, as part of our Escola dos Labirintos program.

Throughout the sessions, participants learned how films were projected in the past, discovering the equipment and techniques once used. They painted and drew directly onto 16mm blank film stock and, in the end, had the chance to watch the collective outcome of their own creations.

The results went far beyond expectations. The young participants were so delighted that the workshop concluded with an enthusiastic round of applause.
