DAY 2 | JULY 19, 2025

CORO SOCIAL DO BAIRRO – ITINERANT CONCERT

The Coro Social do Bairro presented an itinerant concert beginning at the Chapel of São Gregório and concluding at OSSO’s premises.

Directed by conductor Tiago da Neta, the choir is devoted to the sonorities of the traditional songbook and music of intervention. Based at the Clube Social do Bairro in Caldas da Rainha, it was born from the initiative of a group of friends from Bairro Azul, aiming to preserve and celebrate community musical expression.

Through its distinctive interpretations and the recovery of historical melodies, the choir contributes to the renewal of traditional repertoire, keeping cultural roots alive and fostering intergenerational connections.

RAQUEL LIMA + YAW TEMBE – CONCERT

The collaboration between Raquel Lima and Yaw Tembe unfolds around the multiple meanings of the word radio, turning it into a metaphor for the intersection of body, sound, and transmission of meaning. Radio may be a bone that sustains movement, a navigation tool, a beam of light, or an invisible channel of communication connecting distant spaces and times.

Developed during an artistic residency at OSSO for Rádio EIRA and later released by FACADA Records, this project transforms frequencies and vibrations into material for new soundscapes, where fragments of voice, sound, and sense converge. In this layering of meanings, poetry and music expand into resonant textures, inviting a deep listening experience where space and body become territories of expression.

DINNER BY GRÃO-DE-BOI – CULINARY EXPERIENCE

The evening’s feast was prepared by Susana Valadas and Ana Varela with their project Grão de Boi—an initiative born from two friends, neighbors, artists, and cooks. United by a shared vision, they believe in happiness and conviviality at the table, where everyone has a place.

With a commitment to sustainability, they prioritise responsible cooking, guided by seasonality and a zero-waste ethic. Whenever possible, they work with local produce sourced directly from small farmers, valuing the authentic flavor of fresh ingredients while minimising environmental impact. Their menus are carefully designed to celebrate dietary diversity and offer a rich, memorable experience.

AMULETO APOTROPAICO – CONCERT

Formed in Porto in 2022, the duo António Feiteira (percussion & electronics) and Francisco Pedro Oliveira (guitar & electronics) crafts an intense, ritualistic sound universe, driven by paths of vertigo and delirium, yet anchored in deliberate spirituality. Their music moves between folklore and the shadows of collective memory, where percussion and guitar intertwine in visceral dialogue, dissolving into esoteric drones and pulsating digital fragments.

In this performance, they expanded their soundscape further by incorporating predominantly electronic elements. After three years of ever-evolving performances—from gallery basements to Portuguese experimental music venues—the duo now marks the release of their self-titled debut LP, published by Porto-based label Perf.
