THEMATIC WORKSHOP ⟡ STOP MOTION ⟡ LUCAS RESENDE

In this stop-motion animation workshop, we create an animated GIF in which we collectively dress, shape, and imagine a single character — the Vira-Casacas — a figure who inhabits a world invented by us, capable of changing form and temperament in the blink of an eye.

Each participant is invited to transform the initial sketch of the Vira-Casacas’ body according to their own imagination, using drawing, collage, and cut-out techniques. By layering and combining these different visual approaches onto the same shared structure, we bring the character to life: a figure that transforms at every fraction of a second, without ever losing its stride.
