Conceived in the aftermath of the success of <em data-start=\"286\" data-end=\"293\">QUEST<\/em> and <em data-start=\"298\" data-end=\"309\">SATIE.150<\/em>\u2014the latter celebrating the 150th anniversary of composer Erik Satie\u2014the piano and electronics duo of Joana Gama and Lu\u00eds Fernandes opens a new chapter in its practice by evolving into a trio.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"505\" data-end=\"818\">On <em data-start=\"508\" data-end=\"515\">QUEST<\/em>, the duo had already ventured into the territory of contemporary classical music through Gama\u2019s pianistic explorations, while Fernandes drew on rock and electronic music, informed by a trajectory that includes collaborations with the band peixe:avi\u00e3o under the alter ego Astroboy and later Landforms.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"820\" data-end=\"1256\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\"><em data-start=\"820\" data-end=\"831\">Harmonies<\/em>, however, marks a new musical territory: the melodies suggested by Satie acquire a more evident pop inflection, while the underlying structures become more experimental.
