He studied at Ar.Co (Center for Art and Visual Communication), the Royal College of Arts in London, and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago as a fellow of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and the Luso-American Development Foundation, where he earned a Master&#8217;s degree in Performing Arts and Cinema. He has been engaged in a hybrid practice involving poetry, visual arts, and performance with numerous presentations.<\/p>\n<p>Looking at recent years, in 2017, he exhibited &#8220;Watercourse&#8221; at Galeria 111 with Joana Ferven\u00e7a and participated in &#8220;Encounters Beyond History,&#8221; themed &#8220;The Magics&#8221; at the Centro Internacional de Artes Jos\u00e9 de Guimar\u00e3es. In 2019, he held a solo exhibition\/retrospective at ZDB gallery in Lisbon, curated by Natxo Checa.<\/p>\n<p>In 2020, he published the fifth poetry book &#8220;O Agitador e a Corrente,&#8221; co-written with artist and poet Mumtazz, through Mariposa Azual. He also participated in the group exhibition &#8220;Festa.F\u00faria.Femina&#8221; featuring works from the FLAD collection at the MAAT museum.<\/p>\n<p>In 2021, he took part in the BOCA festival, a biennial contemporary art event showcasing performance, visual arts, and music, with Ant\u00f3nio Poppe and La Familia Gitana in music and performance. Additionally, he collaborated with Andr\u00e9ia Santana in a performance titled &#8220;overlaps riddles and spells.&#8221; He has performed and exhibited in various spaces such as the Serralves Museum, ZDB Gallery, Galeria 111, Culturgest, Carmona e Costa Foundation, among others. With a surprise program leading up to the start of each screening, Doc&#8217;s Kingdom is a comprehensive and cumulative experience that encompasses film sessions, discussions, excursions, social meals, and collective gatherings in an informal and bucolic atmosphere.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Doc&#8217;s Kingdom<\/strong> maintains the same distinctive features since its first edition in 2000: over a week, the same group watches films and engages in informal discussions about them; each day includes film sessions from different filmmakers, fostering dialogue among the present authors and a collective debate open to all participants; since 2013, to encourage full participation in the seminar and intensify the experience of total immersion, the program of films is not disclosed in advance; throughout the intensive schedule of screenings and discussions, the experience also involves encountering the location where the seminar takes place, promoting a connection with the local community.<\/p>\n<p>Contrary to the quantitative dimension of festivals and the formatting of academic space, what is proposed here is an experience of cinema and a global human experience, ideally becoming one. This meeting aims to provide a leap in knowledge and vision for those participating. On one hand, through the concentrated experience of screenings and discussions. No museu MAAT.<\/p>\n<p>Em 2021, participou no festival BOCA, bienal de arte contempor\u00e2nea (performance, artes visuais, m\u00fasica) com Ant\u00f3nio Poppe e La Familia Gitana m\u00fasica e performance, e ainda, com Andr\u00e9ia Santana tamb\u00e9m numa performance overlaps riddles and spells. J\u00e1 atuou e\/ou exp\u00f4s em m\u00faltiplos espa\u00e7os como o Museu de Serralves, a Galeria ZDB, a Galeria 111, a Culturgest, a Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Carmona e Costa, entre outros. Iniciou a sua carreira nos anos 80 com os grupos Streetkids e Mler ife Dada. Durante os anos 90 dedicou-se sobretudo \u00e0 composi\u00e7\u00e3o de m\u00fasica para bailado, cinema e teatro, tendo sido tamb\u00e9m o compositor do hino da Expo 98 e da m\u00fasica do espect\u00e1culo de fogo de artif\u00edcio que inaugurou \u201cPorto 2001 Capital Europeia da Cultura\u201d. Como guitarrista, tem-se dedicado \u00e0 improvisa\u00e7\u00e3o livre desde os anos 90, tendo actuado em v\u00e1rios pa\u00edses com in\u00fameros m\u00fasicos e bailarinos.
