Natural Dyeing and Weaving Workshop

Workshop by Alice Albergaria Borges with children from 6 to 12.

Natural dyeing workshop with dyes from the local flora of São Gregório. We’ll dye wool yarn, carded wool, and plant fibers such as palm, rice straw and reeds, with plants collected in the Osso garden. Then we’ll use these dyed fibers and combine them in weaving on cardboard looms and even try spinning carded wool with suspension spindles.
